Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Software Engineer SME to provide Containerized Applications Specialist support for NCIS systems in Quantico, VA. Hybrid position, onsite 100% for the first few months to stand up the environment.

Responsibilities include building and evolving containerized applications, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring compliance across environments, with a Top Secret/SCI clearance required.

Qualifications

• Clearance required: Top Secret/SCI.
• Experience in secure full‑stack development with containerization.
• Experience with container configuration IAC (DockerFiles) and CI/CD integrations.
• Experience with service mesh and discovery tools (e.g., Consul, Zookeeper, Cloud Map).
• Experience with secure credential management (Vault, Key Vault).
• Ability to guide mission developers toward implementation-agnostic development across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Designs and codes applications following specifications using appropriate tools.
• Maintains and modifies existing software applications.
• Analyzes system factors including data flow, hardware/software requirements, and problem resolution.
• Performs modifications to and maintenance of operational programs and procedures.
• Participates in code reviews to ensure standards compliance.
• Writes or revises documentation and user guides.
