Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Software Engineer SME to provide artifact management and secure software development for NCIS systems in Quantico, VA. The role is hybrid, with onsite work expected 100% for the first few months.

The engineer will build and maintain applications in multiple languages, drive code reviews, and ensure compliance with secure coding practices and toolchains. Responsibilities include documentation, deployment planning, and guiding developers toward secure solutions.

Qualifications

Experience in secure software development lifecycle (SecDevOps) across a full-stack domain.
Familiarity with artifact management tools and code quality platforms.
Ability to guide mission developers toward secure, compliant practices.

Responsibilities

Builds and codes applications and modules using languages such as C++, Java, ABAP, and others.
Performs code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and documentation.
Designs and maintains docs and user guides; prepares deployment and operating instructions.
Assists in planning deployment and ensuring software compliance.
Provides patches, upgrades, and GUI design as required.
Supports migration to secure toolchains and DON-CIO policy compliance.
