Job summary

Roblox, headquartered in San Mateo, CA, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Consumer Apps Consoles team to drive PlayStation and Xbox experiences. You will lead end-to-end client work, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, design, and data science to ship polished, high-performance experiences at scale.

You will shape platform improvements, contribute to engineering standards, and work across console, desktop, and mobile to ensure parity and excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping client software with C++.
• Experience with Lua or React is a plus.
• Direct experience shipping on PlayStation or Xbox is highly valued.
• Data-driven with metrics, logging, and experimentation.
• Ownership and self-direction with strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Shape & improve the PlayStation and Xbox experience that millions of players see every day.
• Translate ambiguous product ideas into well-scoped engineering plans with product, design, and data science.
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews and mentorship of junior engineers.
• Drive platform-level investments benefiting the broader engineering organization.
• Work with Xbox and PlayStation counterparts to ensure feature parity and platform-specific excellence.
