Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Consumer Apps Consoles team in San Mateo, CA to shape PlayStation and Xbox experiences for millions of players. You will lead end-to-end client work, raise the quality bar, and partner across product, design, and data science to deliver polished and high-performance experiences.

You bring 5+ years of client software delivery, strong C++ skills, and hands-on console/platform experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping client software.
• Strong C++ proficiency; Lua/React is a plus.
• Experience delivering on console, desktop, or mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

• Shape & improve the PlayStation and Xbox experience for millions of players.
• Translate ambiguous product ideas into well-scoped engineering plans with product, design, and data science partners.
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews and mentoring of junior engineers.
• Drive platform-level investments benefiting the broader engineering organization.
• Collaborate with Xbox and PlayStation counterparts to ensure feature parity and platform excellence.
