OpenEye, a leading cloud video platform company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to develop and maintain the Apex Server application. You will design architecture, drive high-impact features, and mentor peers while collaborating with Product Management and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes strong C++/Java expertise, object-oriented practices, and the use of AI-powered development tools to accelerate day-to-day engineering tasks in an iterative, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expertise in C++ and Java with strong object-oriented design skills.
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving stacks.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and high-quality code focus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with stakeholders and team members.
• Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools to accelerate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, develop, and maintain the Apex Server application, including major architectural changes and performance enhancements.
• Lead significant development projects with minimal oversight from scoping to timely delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Mentor other developers and drive best practices in coding and design.
• Engage in Agile processes to identify bottlenecks and improve workflows.
• Communicate effectively across teams using code reviews, docs, emails, and Jira.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate design, coding, and review processes.
