Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in New York to lead the design and delivery of complex, scalable services across web, mobile, and backend platforms.

You will mentor engineers, drive best practices, and align technical strategy with business goals while delivering high-impact cloud solutions for global customers. You will work with Product and UX to translate customer needs into scalable architectures, champion testing and deployment automation, and

Qualifications

• Mentor or tech lead experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience with Java, C++, or C# including OO design
• Experience with full SDLC, coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, test, and operations
• 5+ years of professional software development
• 5+ years leading design or architecture of systems

Responsibilities

• Lead design, delivery, and implementation of large-scale systems with high engineering standards
• Collaborate with Product and UX to design customer-centric solutions
• Architect and develop scalable services across web, mobile, backend platforms
• Adopt modern software engineering practices and AI-assisted testing
• Analyze performance and reliability with data-driven monitoring
• Define technical strategy and contribute to long-term AI roadmap
• Lead conversations with senior leadership and mentoring of engineers
• Obtain and maintain AWS Certifications
