Job summary

Leidos seeks a Software Developer for a large, fast-paced program supporting Entitlement Programs, IdAM/ICAM, and Digital Policy Management. You will craft Java/Python applications, harness AWS, and mentor junior developers within SAFe agile teams.

The role emphasizes secure, reliable IT systems, modernization of legacy apps, and collaboration across a large team to deliver resilient solutions.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
• Must have experience with Java, Springboot, Python and the Cloud / Amazon Web Services
• Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, or Rundeck
• Experiencing working in Command Line (RH Linux)

Responsibilities

• Experience in modernization of legacy applications (new software development)
• Strong communication, design, and documentation skills
• Comfort and familiarity in maintaining legacy applications
• Strong time and workflow management skills
• Comfort and familiarity designing and utilizing custom ETL methodology
• Knowledge/experience with the development of Cloudformation scripts to generate network and application infrastructure in a repeatable fashion
• Ability to write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances
• Comfort and familiarity in unit testing, peer code review, and automated testing techniques like Selenium
• Experience with Python.
• Develop Java and Python applications that leverage Neo4j and Elasticsearch
• Ability to Implement NodeJS PM2 for application monitoring and resiliency
• Utilized SAFe agile techniques to manage workload
• Leverage Amazon Web Services
• Experience creating RESTful API
• Willingness to mentor and teach junior developers’ community best practices in a constructive fashion
• Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies
• Ability to methodically think through new and exciting challenges in a collaborative team environment in order to provide technically sound solutions
