Job summary

Grafana Labs is a remote-only company seeking engineers to design, build, and scale Grafana Cloud. You’ll collect metrics/logs from cloud providers, create dashboards, alerts, and documentation, and collaborate across teams.

You’ll contribute to OSS projects, participate in on-call rotations, and work with Sales, Product, and Support to deliver a seamless product experience for a global customer base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with at least one major language.
• Experience with cloud-based software development and production systems.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience driving projects from ideation to production and on-call rotation.
• Willingness to learn Go and contribute to OSS communities.

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality, scalable integrations for infrastructure components and apps.
• Create middleware components, SDKs, and libraries to simplify observability solutions.
• Represent Grafana Labs in open source forums and events when needed.
• Collaborate with product, design, and docs to align features with customer needs.
• Support technical direction and future development of observability solutions.
• Work with Sales, Product, and Support to deliver a holistic product experience.
• Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations and own the services run by the team.
• Contribute to OSS projects and open source communities.
