Arrowstreet Capital’s Core Investment Systems team designs and builds technology that supports our investment services and operations from Boston. The role emphasizes creating scalable, automated systems for our systematic investment process and data flows across portfolios and geographies.

This hands-on engineering position requires ownership, collaboration, and a drive to improve software development and architecture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of cloud services experience (AWS, GCP, Azure), AWS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of databases and data manipulation languages and platforms (SQL, Iceberg, Spark, Pandas/Polars).
• Proven track record of scalable, production-grade systems and automation.
• Hands-on experience with deployment and testing automation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business and technology leaders to understand strategy and influence decisions.
• Provide technical leadership by mentoring team members and leading projects.
• Build new functionality for investment process systems and automate workflows.
• Understand data flows and identify opportunities for automation and performance improvements.
• Accelerate migration to cloud-native platforms and drive adoption of modern tech stacks.
• Support production escalations with urgency.
