Job summary

Arrowstreet Capital in Boston seeks a Senior Engineer for the Investment Technology Platform to advance a distributed compute platform and related systems. You will design, build, test, deploy and support production-grade software used across the investment process.

You will work across Research and Investment Technology teams, lead architecture discussions, and develop cloud-native solutions on AWS with Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines, while mentoring teammates and contributing to

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline.
8+ years of software development with Python or similar OO language.
4+ years leading design/architecture of large-scale production systems.
3+ years building high-performance distributed, cloud-native solutions on AWS.
3+ years container tech like Kubernetes and Docker.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Research and Investment Technology to define requirements for compute platform, workflow, messaging, AI and observability.
Provide design insights for scalable, maintainable and efficient platform solutions.
Lead technical design discussions to reach architecture consensus.
Develop high-quality solutions in on‑prem and AWS using Python and other languages.
Build IaC with Terraform and automated CI/CD pipelines with tests.
Provide guidance and review code; participate in on-call rotation.
