Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Sr Software Engineer I to own and evolve a cloud-native data platform supporting grid-scale renewable operations. You will design high-throughput ETL pipelines and microservices across Azure, enabling live asset telemetry to leadership metrics.

The role requires strong multi-language proficiency (C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript/React), hands-on coding, and active mentorship toward secure, scalable software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent proven track record in software engineering.
• 5+ years of production software engineering in distributed, cloud-native environments.
• Proficient in C#/.NET, Python, and TypeScript/React; knowledge of Go and SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system design for secure, event-driven microservices on Azure.
• Develop automated data processing, ML anomaly detection, and high-throughput ETL pipelines.
• Build and maintain low-latency APIs and data ingestion services.
• Mentor engineers, conduct multi-language code reviews, and enforce security standards.
• Establish observability with monitoring, logging, and real-time alerts.
• Document system designs and ensure operational readiness.
• Drive CI/CD modernization using Azure DevOps and DevOps practices.
