Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Sr Software Engineer I to own a cloud-native data platform for industrial assets across wind, solar, and storage sites. You will lead end-to-end architecture, drive microservices in Azure, and mentor a growing team of engineers.

You will design high-throughput ETL pipelines, implement AI/ML-driven anomaly detection, and ensure robust security and performance across multi-language stacks (C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript/React).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience in distributed, cloud-native environments.
• Proficiency across C#/.NET, Python, and TypeScript/React; familiarity with Go.
• Hands-on Azure cloud, Kubernetes/AKS, Terraform/Helm, and Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end system design and production-scale microservices on Azure.
• Build ML-driven data processing and anomaly detection for downtime data.
• Architect high-throughput ETL pipelines and low-latency APIs.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews across multiple languages.
• Establish observability with monitoring, logging, and alerting.
