Job summary
Archer is partnering with Defense Unicorns to connect top software engineers with mission-critical work for the US government, helping migrate legacy on-prem systems to cloud-native platforms and build scalable data pipelines.
In this Mid to Senior Software Engineer role, you will own end-to-end delivery on the US Navy portfolio, design robust data transformations, implement security controls, and drive modern architecture across distributed services. Remote - USA; compensation ranges listed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years (mid) or 5+ years (senior) software engineering experience.
- Expert level in at least one modern language (Go, TS, Python) and testable code.
- Strong design, API development, and cloud platform knowledge (AWS/Azure).
- Experience decomposing monoliths into microservices and secure data practices.
Responsibilities
- Translate requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders.
- Design and maintain ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines.
- Implement security protocols and RBAC/ABAC frameworks.
- Refactor on-prem into cloud-based services and drive CI/CD.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and docs.
