Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery seeks a Software Systems Engineer to bridge broadcast engineering, software development and operations. You will build tools, integrations and dashboards connecting multi-vendor systems, APIs and databases to modernize distribution and transmission.

The role requires 4+ years of code integration experience, cloud‑hybrid setups, and the ability to collaborate across time zones. Expect broad exposure across Linux/Windows environments and event support.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in any Engineering or related field.
• 4 years of experience developing code to integrate products from multiple vendors.
• Experience developing and implementing monitoring and automation tools.
• Hands‑on database experience (querying, designing, and maintaining SQL).
• Experience working with RESTful API’s using JSON & XML.
• Experience with Git as well as Bash scripting.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong data analysis skills & experience with data wrangling.
• Demonstrated experience operating in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience setting up and working in cloud‑hybrid environments.
• Ability to work with teams in multiple cities over multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Write effective, scalable code with proper error handling and logging.
• Test and debug programs and improve functionality of existing systems.
• Thoroughly document all programs and processes developed.
• Available to support high profile events.
