Job summary

Credence is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and modernize enterprise software for critical DoD aviation programs. The role focuses on application development, software architecture, cloud-native tech, AI-enabled automation, and systems integration to enhance mission readiness and logistics.

Qualifications

• Master’s/Doctorate in CS/SE/IT/Engineering or related field with 10+ years experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 12+ years experience including 5+ years supporting DoD.
• 15 years of directly related professional experience with at least 8 years supporting DoD.
• Demonstrated expertise in Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript with hands-on production experience.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise software applications and services.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, microservices, or service-oriented architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure enterprise software, APIs, and microservices.
• Design secure, cloud-native software architectures and contribute to stack-wide architecture decisions.
• Support deployment through containers and CI/CD; modernize legacy systems via automation and cloud technologies.
• Apply engineering best practices—source control, automated testing, code review, documentation.
• Ensure compliance with secure software development standards and Government cybersecurity requirements.
• Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational sustainment of production systems.
• Build and integrate AI-enabled capabilities (generative AI, LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows) into production systems.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and drive practical adoption.
• Translate complex requirements into production-ready software with analysts and stakeholders.
• Build forecasting, modeling, and decision-support tools for operational insight.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship; influence engineering standards.
