Job summary

FICO is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Scores Software team in the United States. You will design, implement, and support high-performance services in Java, C++, Groovy, and Python, optimizing for throughput and reliability for B2B Score projects.

You will lead cloud architecture on AWS, containerize with Docker, and manage Kubernetes clusters while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with Analytics, Data, and Product Management teams to translate business requirements into

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science or related disciplines.
• 7+ years of relevant software development and delivery experience.
• Strong coding skills in Java, C++, C, and .Net/C#.
• 5+ years of experience with AWS services (ECS/IAM/EKS/S3/Lambda).
• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/PostgreSQL, AngularJS, NgRx.
• Experience with AI Prompt engineering and LLMs like Claude Code.
• Architect with modern design principles (MVC, design patterns).
• SDLC and SQL/Postgres SQL, NoSQL understanding; Git/Bitbucket experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support high-performance, low-latency services across Java, C++, Groovy, and Python.
• Lead cloud architecture and DevOps strategy using AWS, containerize with Docker, and manage Kubernetes clusters.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and collaboration to ensure on-time delivery of complex solutions.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Data, and Product Management to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Use AI coding assistants for scaffolding, testing, refactors, and cross-language ports.
