Apple, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help capacity and efficiency engineering for large-scale cloud services in Seattle. You will model infrastructure demand, analyze workloads, and translate signals into capacity requirements while ensuring reliability and performance.

This hands-on role spans distributed systems, observability, and cloud infrastructure. You will embed with engineering teams to develop demand models, improve observability, forecast infrastructure needs, and

Formación

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in large-scale distributed services or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Go with production-grade systems and automation experience.
• Understanding of complex architectures across technologies, services, and infra layers.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and containers.
• Experience using observability, telemetry, metrics, and logs to understand system behavior and capacity.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand architectures, dependencies, workloads, and infrastructure.
• Translate signals into measurable resource requirements and evolving capacity needs.
• Build scalable tooling and automation to provide visibility and validate capacity.
• Identify improvements to increase efficiency while preserving reliability and performance.
• Develop repeatable methodologies for resource demand modeling, capacity management, and efficiency.
• Align resource requirements with business objectives and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
