Apple in San Francisco, CA seeks a Senior Capacity Engineer to own capacity planning across compute platforms and services. You will forecast demand, build capacity models, and drive AI–enabled dashboards to enable predictive analysis, ensuring resources are aligned with business needs.

This role sits at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, data analytics, and strategic planning, and works with engineering, finance, and leadership at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, capacity planning, or related field.
• Experience forecasting infrastructure demand and translating it into actionable plans.
• Strong analytical skills with large datasets and predictive modeling.
• Experience applying AI/ML to operational problems and dashboards.

Responsabilités

• Own the end-to-end capacity planning lifecycle for compute platforms and services.
• Drive monthly capacity forecasts and track incremental capacity requests.
• Build and maintain capacity models translating growth signals into infrastructure needs.
• Develop AI-assisted dashboards surfacing capacity health, trends, and anomalies.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, and leadership; present risks and opportunities.
• Identify efficiency opportunities: right-sizing, rebalancing, decommissioning.
• Establish and track capacity-related SLOs and KPIs.
• Support procurement and budget cycles with data-driven recommendations.
• Lead quarterly and annual capacity reviews at senior leadership level.
