Job summary

Lansweeper, the AI Cyber Asset Intelligence platform, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Austin for an AI-native backend role. You will contribute to an AI-augmented development environment, building scalable systems and guiding AI-assisted workflows.

You will collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to design APIs, data models, and service boundaries, while mentoring peers and shaping technical direction in a fast-scaling SaaS company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals: testing, version control, CI/CD, and code review.
• Proven experience in C, C++, Golang or Rust.
• Experience building backend systems or distributed systems.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, APIs, and SOA.
• Experience designing scalable and reliable systems.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted development environments.
• Experience with SQL.
• Knowledge of networks and underlying hardware infrastructure.

Senior Software Engineer – AI-Native Platform - C++ - GO - Rust

Austin, TX (Hybrid, 2–3 days per week in office)

Context & Impact

Lansweeper is evolving its engineering organization toward an AI-native development model. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build reliable, scalable systems while operating in an AI-augmented development environment.

In the near term, you will contribute to the Discovery Team's work on Traffic Sensor evolutionary efforts, with AI capabilities at the center of everything we build. The team is responsible for ensuring system quality, architectural clarity, and scalable design across multiple parallel AI-assisted development streams. Longer term, you will help shape how AI-native engineering practices scale across the platform.

AI Fluency

We expect all engineers to actively use AI tools to enhance productivity and quality across the software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, documentation, and system design. Candidates should be comfortable working with AI-assisted workflows and continuously evolving their approach as tools and practices advance.

You should be comfortable prompting, validating, and refining AI-generated outputs, and using AI to improve development speed while maintaining production-quality standards.
