Job summary

Trusted Space is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Contingent) in a hybrid model across Chantilly, VA and the Denver Metro Area. The role requires 8+ years of software development experience, strong C++ (C++11+) and Python 3, and the ability to lead agile teams in a Linux-enabled environment.

The candidate must hold an active TS/SCI clearance. Compensation ranges from $150,000 to $200,000 with a comprehensive benefits package and a contingent start upon award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3 years of C++ experience (C++11 or newer).
• Experience with Python 3.
• Ability to work in Windows and Linux environments (primarily Linux).
• Experience leading agile teams and implementing agile practices.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software in a confidential environment.
• Collaborate with users to define system scope and objectives; provide technical guidance across development phases.
• Evaluate systems and software for compliance with government and industry standards for safety and reliability.
• Lead small teams of developers across the full software development lifecycle.
• Build C++ programs from the ground up.
