Job summary

Trusted Space is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer for on-site roles in Aurora, Colorado and Herndon, Virginia. Candidate will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications using Java in an agile environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree or higher, 10+ years in software engineering, 5+ years with Java and Spring, experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ, Docker/Kubernetes, and the ability to obtain DoD 8570 certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 10+ years in software engineering or related experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Java for production level software.
• Experience with the Java Spring Framework.
• Experience with messaging frameworks (e.g. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to work in both Windows and Linux environments.
• An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 certification, including CompTIA Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date.

Job Description

Trusted Space is seeking a Sr. Software Developer with a Bachelor’s degree or higher and 10+ years’ experience to join our team. Candidates will design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate has experience with the Java programming language, object-oriented design, debugging, and optimizing complex systems, and works effectively in a collaborative, agile development environment.

• Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.
• Knowledgeable in satellite systems, ground-based mission systems or mission operations.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $200,000. Please note that this range is a general guideline and can vary. Trusted Space, LLC considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to: scope, location, position responsibilities, education/training, key skills and business considerations.
