Job summary

Toyota Financial Services in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and own complex services across backend and frontend for dealer and consumer digital platforms. You will own features end-to-end and contribute to architecture decisions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of production-grade software experience with Java/Spring Boot, AWS, and frontend frameworks (React/Next.js/Vue).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of production-grade software experience.
• Strong hands-on Java, Spring Boot, and microservices experience.
• Experience building APIs for dealer, pricing, and credit workflows.
• Practical AWS experience with ECS/Fargate, IAM, S3, CloudWatch.
• Frontend experience with React/Next.js/Vue for automotive platforms.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools is a plus.
• Strong ownership and accountability for production systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services and modern user interfaces for dealer and consumer journeys.
• Own features end-to-end from design through testing, deployment, and production support.
• Contribute to architecture, performance, scalability, and resiliency decisions.
• Build and maintain APIs that support dealer workflows, pricing requests, and credit journeys.
• Apply observability, testing, and operational discipline for production-ready solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions to improve system quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence technical direction and standards.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery speed and code quality.
