Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help grow our Enterprise Platform. You will build and maintain cloud-based solutions, collaborate with product owners, and implement robust microservices on AWS using Java, Spring Boot, and modern web tech.

The role is based in Plano, TX with a focus on operational excellence, scalable architectures, and mentoring teammates in Agile practices. Suitable candidates will bring 5+ years of experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field with 5+ years of experience.
• Advanced programming in one or more modern languages such as Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, ReactJS, TypeScript, or Python to design, develop, and maintain customer experiences on AWS cloud platform.
• Proven track record delivering Kubernetes-based microservices on AWS in a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in delivering high-quality, clean, reusable code using TDD and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack solutions.
• Maintain operational excellence and build fault-tolerant, secure services.
• Mentor other team members and promote Agile best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to deliver cloud-based solutions for scalable experiences on AWS.
• Design and deliver services using Java, JavaScript, Python, and related tech; emphasize observability and performance.
