Job summary

GA-Intelligence is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive large-scale simulation tools for C2 and training. You’ll balance backend service leadership with frontend collaboration to deliver real-time situational awareness software used by DoD customers.

You will set technical direction, architect complex systems, and mentor a small team while collaborating with UI/UX, data scientists, and product owners to meet mission-critical requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelors, masters, or PhD in CS or related field with years of practice.
• Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot in production environments.
• Strong basis in networking, math, and data exchange formats.
• Experience with Linux and cloud-native deployments (AWS, containers).
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead backend/fullstack development for battle simulation data and APIs.
• Design, implement, and deliver enterprise backend services in Java/Spring Boot.
• Contribute to frontend code and ensure data reaches UI reliably.
• Set technical direction, architecture, and roadmaps for simulation work.
• Mentor teammates and coordinate across DoD/IC customers.
