Job summary

Apptegy in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to lead cloud infrastructure and back-end development. The role focuses on AWS architecture, Ruby on Rails features, and scalable platform improvements, while guiding CI/CD and IaC best practices in a SCRUM team.

You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable systems, implement observability, and ensure secure, scalable solutions across services.

Qualifications

• Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in IT or related field.
• 2 years of experience in cloud architectures, QA automation, and two or more of AWS, Google Cloud, Express.
• Strong coding skills in Ruby on Rails and back-end development.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimization of AWS cloud environments.
• Develop new features and platform enhancements with Ruby on Rails.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code initiatives (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA/Test, DevOps, and front-end engineers in SCRUM.
• Ensure security, IAM, monitoring, and reliable production operations.
