Job summary
Power3 Solutions is seeking an experienced Agile Developer - Software Architect to own the design, delivery, and evolution of AWS infrastructure and application services. The role blends deep AWS expertise with Java and Python development, mentoring two to four junior engineers and driving architectural best practices.
You will design end-to-end architectures, write production-grade services, and implement IaC while ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions across data pipelines,
Qualifications
- TS/SCI Poly - with CI poly within last 7 years
- BS + 12 years experience
- Desirable: Java, Spring boot, Python or related skills (2 of the below)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and AWS services (Lambda, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS)
- Experience with microservices and modern IAM/OIDC patterns
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end, scalable, secure and cost-optimized architectures on AWS
- Develop production-grade Java (Spring Boot) and Python (Lambdas) services, including containerized workloads
- Define and maintain IaC for reproducibility and version control
- Architect data and messaging with DynamoDB, OpenSearch, SQS, SNS
- Implement observability via CloudWatch, dashboards, logging, alerting
- Contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps using GitLab pipelines and blue-green deployments
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct architecture reviews
- Communicate technical details and roadblocks to leadership and stakeholders
- Produce architectural diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs for on-call operations
