Job summary

Apptegy, based in Little Rock, AR, seeks a Sr. Software Engineer to elevate our cloud and backend capabilities. You will lead scalable AWS infrastructure, implement robust CI/CD, and drive architecture decisions within a SCRUM team including Vue.js frontend collaboration.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 2 years in similar fields, with full-time telecommuting in the US. You will mentor peers and contribute to production reliability and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field plus 2 years of experience.
• Two years of experience in Cloud Architectures and QA Automation, and two or more of the listed technologies.
• Experience leading cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of scalable AWS cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain backend features using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate to define system architecture and design patterns.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines for faster, reliable deployments.
• Drive IaC initiatives with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Maintain observability with monitoring and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Provide mentorship and produce technical documentation.
