Job summary

Litify seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in New York. You will write clean, scalable code for AWS services and own the AWS portion of projects integrating with Salesforce, while learning Salesforce technologies (LWC, Apex).

You will contribute to design, analysis, development, and deployment of data‑driven applications in an agile environment, collaborating with Product Managers on scoping and roadmap discussions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend experience with a language (Node.js preferred).
• 4+ years in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).

Senior Software Engineer

Litify seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. Your main focus will be to write clean, scalable code to run on AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Fargate). You will own the AWS portion of a project that integrates heavily with Salesforce—including refactoring existing Salesforce processes. Prior Salesforce experience is not required; a willingness to learn is essential. You will assist in design, analysis, development, implementation, and deployment of new data‑driven applications in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and monitor RESTful APIs
• Design cost‑effective and efficient services for storing and processing high volumes of structured data with thousands of records
• Create clean and organized infrastructure‑as‑code templates (e.g., CloudFormation) and deploy stacks across environments
• Manage security and organization of data in S3
• Build the AWS side of integrations with our Salesforce platform, and refactor Salesforce processes (LWC, Apex)
• Work closely with Product Managers for scoping and roadmap discussions
• Contribute to project documentation and knowledge bases

Qualifications (Required)

• 7+ years of experience with a backend programming language (preferably Node.js)
• 4+ years of experience working in a cloud environment (preferably AWS)
• Willingness to work on Salesforce projects and learn the Salesforce platform (LWC, Apex)
• Experience with AI code assistance tooling such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
• Drive to continuously improve your skillset and take on challenging projects
• Willingness to help educate and grow teammates
• Ability to communicate effectively with peers in Engineering and Product

Nice‑to‑have

• Prior experience developing on Salesforce (LWC, Apex, general security practices)
• Serverless architecture on AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3)
• AWS certifications, especially “AWS Certified Developer – Associate”
• Salesforce certifications
• 3+ years of Node.js experience
• CI/CD experience
• AWS CDK and CloudFormation experience
• Networking or cybersecurity experience

Disclosure

The estimated base salary pay range for this role is $140,000–160,000. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits. Salary ranges are competitive for our size and industry and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on qualifications, experience level, skill set, internal equity, and balancing peers at the company.
