Job summary

Radical AI in New York City is seeking a senior software engineer to build the core platform powering our autonomous lab. You will work across backend services, agent tooling, data pipelines, and infrastructure to ensure reliable production systems.

You will own both backend and observability components, contribute across the stack, and help implement hybrid cloud/on-prem deployments in customer environments. Strong systems thinking and production instincts are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–6+ years of production software engineering experience, capable of end-to-end design and shipping.
• Fluency in Go and/or Python; TypeScript/Rust are a plus.
• Deep comfort with distributed systems: timeouts, retries, idempotency, partial failure, dead-letter queues.
• Experience with concurrent and asynchronous programming and event loops.
• Solid networking fundamentals; containerization and cloud deployment (Kubernetes, AWS).
• High ownership: proactively identifies and raises issues.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core platform services and tooling.
• Own data and orchestration pipelines; support infrastructure in production.
• Develop and improve observability, logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Contribute to hybrid cloud/on-prem deployments in customer environments.
• Collaborate across robotics, ML, and automation domains.
• Design scalable data pipelines for models and LLMs.
