Job summary

Appnovation is seeking a Senior Developer, Fullstack (AI & Data Platform) in New York to join a team building agent-enabled applications and backend automation. You will work with data engineering and governance partners to design services and interfaces that make data discoverable and trustworthy across the platform.

The role emphasizes architectural decisions, best practices, and practical execution, with exposure to LLMs, MCP servers, and modern frontend stacks like React and Vue.js.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
• 6+ years of software engineering with a strong focus on fullstack development.
• Experience using AI-powered tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to boost productivity and code quality.
• Experience transforming catalogue and metadata output into working software.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend automation that integrates multiple metadata sources and generates governed artifacts such as data contracts.
• Design and build agent-enabled applications and workflows, including MCP servers and tools like a data-contract generator.
• Build user-facing interfaces for platform and discovery workflows.
• Deliver production-quality services with solid API design, testing, and CI/CD practices.
