Job summary

Premier is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in a remote-capable role with travel within the United States. You will design, develop, and integrate software solutions across the full development lifecycle, mentoring juniors and guiding data strategies.

Emphasis on collaboration with security and cross‑functional teams. Requirements include 4+ years of development experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency in Java, ReactJS, ReactNative, SQL, and Docker, plus DevOps tooling experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes.

• Review, analyze, and collaborate with business analysts and development teams to understand requirements and develop coding approaches.
• Collaborate with the development team on data approaches for coding, understanding data guidelines, available data sources, and impacts on common data stores.
• Provide direction to associate software engineers and collaborate with core teams, security, and cross‑functional teams to deliver appropriate solutions.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on application and data for other teams, provide ad‑hoc reporting, mentor junior team members, and set priorities.

Job description

The Senior Software Engineer develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions. They design, code, repair, enhance, integrate, upgrade, convert, provide level3 support, and administer application software and middleware within enterprise guidelines and standards covering the development life cycle, version control, source code control, documentation, testing, code verification, continuous integration, continuous deployment, automation, compliance policies, and team collaboration.

Working Conditions

Remote work environment. Travel required 1‑20% within the United States. Physical demands: sedentary work with occasional exertion of up to 10pounds.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation range: $90,000 – $150,000, dependent on market factors. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement program; paid time off; participation in employee incentive plans; tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.
