Job summary

Premier in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and install software solutions. This role involves coding, repairing, enhancing, integrating, upgrading, and administering applications and middleware within SDLC guidelines.

You will collaborate with QA, Security, and cross-functional teams to define and test deliverables, applying OO design, SQL and MVC patterns, while staying current with development tools and techniques.

Qualifications

• This role requires 2+ years of applicable software engineering experience.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
• MVC framework experience and MS SQL are preferred.
• Object-oriented programming and UI development are relevant skills.

Overview

The Software Engineer develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions. This position will design, code, repair, enhance, integrate, upgrade, convert, provide level-3 support, and administer application software and middleware. Work is performed within guidelines and standards set by management regarding the development life cycle, version control, source code control, documentation, unit testing, code verification, continuous integration, continuous deployment, automation, compliance policies, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

This level of software engineer should know software concepts, procedures and best practices and apply them daily to meet deliverables. They will work on most stories independently with minimal supervision; they should not yet have a full grasp of the big picture or the complete software development life cycle, but are expected to exercise independent judgment when applying skills and problem‑solving capabilities, with oversight required by senior team members. They are expected to keep their job knowledge current by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; and participating in professional organizations.

This position collaborates with the development team, QA, Security, collaborative groups/clients, and other cross‑functional teams to define, provide for, and test deliverables.
