Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Sr. Software Engineer (Applications) to design, develop and test software for new products and cloud-based tools within a fast-paced Agile setting.

You will participate in design reviews, write documentation, implement code with unit tests, and help lead projects while mentoring peers across multiple teams. A strong background in C#/Java/C++ and web UI is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering/science field is required or equivalent experience.
• 8–12 years of Windows or Linux application software development experience.
• Expertise in C#, Java, C++, or Web UI and unit testing experience.
• Familiar with Agile software development processes and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Follow a defined software lifecycle and participate in design reviews.
• Design, develop, test and document software for enhancements and new products.
• Write and validate code with tests and contribute to process improvements.
• Deliver work on schedule and support multiple teams across programs.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate activities as Team Lead when needed.
