Ascendion is seeking a Software Engineer to develop high-quality software, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and stay updated on latest technologies. The role focuses on building robust RESTful APIs, clean code, and contributing to Agile processes.

Ideal candidates will bring 5+ years of web tech experience, knowledge of PostgreSQL, microservices, and cloud platforms, plus Docker and Kubernetes familiarity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with web technologies.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js and related technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with design, product, QA, and engineering teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback while maintaining coding standards.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Assist in investigating and resolving technical issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
