Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to provide architectural oversight for DevOps, CI/CD, and platform engineering across multiple teams. You will define standards for build, deployment, and environment management, and drive automation and security into pipelines while adopting cloud-native Kubernetes platforms.

The role requires 10+ years in DevOps/Platform Engineering, strong AWS and container experience, and a track record of improving scalability, reliability, and efficiency in

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on DevOps/Platform Engineering or similar.
• Experience designing DevOps architecture for enterprise-scale production environments.
• Strong CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, and automated testing practices.
• Experience deploying in Linux and Windows environments.
• Advanced automation scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Proficiency with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures.
• Networking, load balancing, caching and service discovery.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Datadog).
• Exposure to SRE practices and reliability metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural oversight for DevOps and platform engineering across multiple scrum teams.
• Lead design and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines and secure deployment workflows.
• Embed DevSecOps controls in pipelines and promote containerized, cloud-native architectures.
• Guide on service networking, API management, and traffic management; ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
• Mentor engineers in DevOps practices and drive automation and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with ops and engineering for observability, monitoring, and incident response.
