Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer to help build the future of GuardDuty.

Work with scientists and security researchers to craft scalable analytics and ML systems at AWS scale, expanding into AI threat detection for generative AI models and related risks. You will own end-to-end software delivery, participate in design reviews, and operate in a highly available, customer-facing environment with on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered software
• 1+ years of OO design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale, distributed security detection systems.
• Extend GuardDuty’s capabilities into the AI Threat Detection domain.
• Collaborate with applied scientists to transform research into production systems.
• Drive full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment.
• Conduct design and code reviews for architecture and performance.
• Operate in a customer-facing environment with on-call responsibilities.
• Participate in root cause analysis and long-term improvements.
