Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Security Engineer for Amazon GuardDuty to design, test, and improve threat detection at massive scale. You will research attack patterns, build simulations, and mentor engineers and data scientists.

Ideal candidates have deep information security knowledge, strong CS background, and experience exploiting at scale while remaining stealthy. The role involves cross-team collaboration and cutting-edge techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 1+ years of architecture/design experience for large systems.
• 1+ years of OO design experience.
• Experience programming in at least one language (C#, C++, Java or Perl).

Responsibilities

• Recognize attacker tools, tactics and procedures safely.
• Develop scripts or tools to enhance red team capabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists to test detections.
• Build simulations to validate tools and techniques.
• Advise team on threat landscape and techniques.
• Detonate and analyze malware behavioral patterns.
