Job summary

Amazon GuardDuty is a customer-facing threat detection service protecting AWS applications. Senior software engineer will help build scalable security analytics, collaborating with scientists and researchers to productionize detections across cloud security domains.

Role involves the full software lifecycle, design/code reviews, and on-call rotations in a highly available environment. 5+ years in software development and ML familiarity are expected, with a BS in CS or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new or existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 10+ years applying ML to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed security detection systems.
• Collaborate with scientists to transform research into production systems.
• Own the full software development lifecycle from planning to maintenance.
• Conduct design and code reviews focusing on architecture, scalability, and performance.
• Operate in a customer-facing environment with on-call responsibilities.
