Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer to work on Amazon GuardDuty, a managed threat detection service that protects AWS accounts and workloads.

You will research attack patterns, build simulations, and mentor data scientists and software engineers in a fast-paced environment. The role requires deep knowledge of information security and CS, with hands-on red team testing and scale-focused engineering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on large systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related work.
• 1+ years designing and developing large-scale distributed software.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or equivalent preferred.
• Experience programming in at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Recognize attacker tools, tactics and procedures safely.
• Develop scripts or tools to enhance red team capabilities.
• Collaborate with data scientists to test detections for exploitation patterns.
• Build simulations to validate security tools and techniques.
• Advise teams on current threat landscape and methods.
• Detonate and analyze malware behavioral patterns.
• Create IP and influence others while showing creativity.
