Job summary

Raydar is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to build and ship AI-driven software systems, setting technical direction with leadership. The role spans core platform development, customer-hosted deployments, and turning feedback into product improvements.

You will lead a small team of junior engineers, translating customer learnings into tangible product changes while maintaining strong backend and infrastructure discipline.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of software engineering experience.
• Track record of putting a modern AI agent or LLM-based product into production from start to finish.
• Experience leading an engineering team or a major project at a startup.
• Strong backend and infrastructure depth across Linux, Unix, containers, networking and storage.
• Strong Python skills.
• Solid grounding in distributed architecture, performance tuning and handling data at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve core services and runtime components in Python.
• Turn loosely defined problems into working AI-driven systems, then refine them using evaluation data, traces and telemetry.
• Package and deploy software in containers for customer-hosted environments.
• Lead a quick-moving group of junior engineers by identifying where work stalls and ranking tasks.
• Work with field-facing engineers to turn customer learnings into product changes.
