Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a technical leader in San Francisco to own end-to-end development of Claude Science, an AI workbench that unifies literature, databases, scientific computing, and outputs. You will shape product and architecture in a category not yet defined, partnering with researchers to push model capabilities into production.

The role demands guiding engineers, collaborating with scientists, and delivering robust, scalable AI solutions that accelerate scientific progress.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years at Staff or leadership level.
• Experience building 0→1 products in fast-moving environments and setting technical direction.
• Experience building AI products and turning model capabilities into applications.
• Ability to work with domain scientists and translate learnings into engineering priorities.
• Strong cross-team influence to ship impactful work.

Responsibilities

• Ship fast against a roadmap you help shape, in a category with defined scope.
• Interface with scientists during conversations, translating findings into engineering priorities.
• Partner with product and design to convert how scientists work into shipped product.
• Collaborate with research to improve models, evals, and real-world feedback.
