Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Payments team in Chicago. You will join an agile team designing and delivering trusted, scalable technology products in a secure, reliable environment.

You will create production-grade code, leverage AI-assisted development tools, and contribute to architecture, performance visualizations, and data-driven improvements across multiple business functions.

Qualifications

5+ years hands-on Software Development Life Cycle experience.
Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks at scale.
Advanced in Java and other programming languages.
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Experience leading AI-assisted coding and code review initiatives.

Responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions.
Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity while validating outputs through peer review and testing.
Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation value.
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met in code.
Gathers and analyzes large data sets to visualize and report on software performance and improvements.
Identifies hidden data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
