Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Payments Technology team. You will contribute as a seasoned member of an agile team, delivering secure, scalable technology products across the firm’s businesses.

You will design, develop, and troubleshoot software, apply AI-assisted coding tools, and produce architecture artifacts while ensuring production-ready code and compliance with security standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of applied software engineering experience
• System design, development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience with modern programming languages and database querying languages in a large corporate environment
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, and security requirements
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile practices (CI/CD, security)

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms
• Uses enterprise AI tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity
