Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Chicago is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the Commercial & Investment Bank - Payments team. You will be a seasoned contributor, designing and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable manner.

You will work in an agile team, applying SDLC practices, CI/CD, and responsible AI usage to produce robust code and artifacts, while improving quality and efficiency across complex systems.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years hands-on SDLC experience.
• Hands-on experience building/testing automation frameworks.
• Hands-on building/maintaining automation frameworks at scale.
• Advanced in Java.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted development tools with validation of outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Proven proficiency in cloud/AI/ML/mobile software processes.

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with non-routine approaches.
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains production-ready algorithms.
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation value and outcomes.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications.
• Gathers and visualizes data to drive continuous improvement of software systems.
• Proactively identifies hidden data patterns to improve coding hygiene and architecture.
