Job summary

Juniper Square seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate production systems powering AI-enabled workflows for institutional clients. You will join the AI Platform team, collaborating with product, design, QA, and staff engineers to ship reliable, scalable solutions.

You will own end-to-end projects, advance technical excellence, and practice AI-native development with tooling and safeguarding, while maintaining ownership and clear communication across cross-functional

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend or full-stack software engineering.
• Strong Python backend experience with FastAPI/Flask/Django.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases; data modeling.
• Cloud-native tech: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes; IaC.
• CI/CD, observability, and production operations.
• Full-stack capability (TypeScript/React) a plus.
• Ability to break down complex problems and deliver maintainable solutions.
• Ownership mindset with cross-team collaboration.
• Clear communication; explain tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Hands-on AI-native development tools experience; AI fluency.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience building AI/LLM-powered systems in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production systems powering client workflows.
• Own end-to-end projects from requirements to deployment.
• Build scalable, observable systems enabling faster team delivery.
• Maintain production health: monitor, troubleshoot, improve reliability.
• Develop reusable infrastructure and developer tooling.
• Improve velocity via automation and documentation.
