Job summary

re-zoo-me, a leading US food technology platform focused on workplace food ordering, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI-Native Platform to build backend services, APIs, and AI-assisted workflows that enable administration, integrations, and high-volume order processing.

You will design reliable distributed systems, collaborate with product and engineering teams, and promote testing, observability, and production ownership while applying AI across the software lifecycle.

The platform connects workplaces with over 125,000 restaurant partners nationwide, supporting large orders and helping restaurants grow their customer base.

2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer, AI-Native Platform role is responsible for developing shared backend platform capabilities that support administration, integrations, and transaction-heavy products. This position focuses on building reliable backend services, APIs, and workflow orchestration systems, leveraging AI-assisted software development to enhance quality and efficiency. The role contributes to the organization's platform reliability and operational impact.

3. Responsibilities:

• Develop shared services, APIs, and workflows to support administrative and integration functions
• Design reliable backend systems for cross-domain business processes and critical operations
• Utilize AI throughout the software lifecycle, including planning, coding, review, testing, and quality improvement
• Provide reusable engineering practices and guidance to improve AI-assisted workflows
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver clear, high-quality solutions
• Ensure quality through testing, observability, safe rollouts, and incident investigation

4. Requirements:

• Strong experience building backend systems and APIs in production environments
• Proficiency with AI-assisted software delivery and understanding of appropriate application areas
• Practical knowledge of AI-native workflows, including iterative development and thorough review processes
• Experience with Go or a comparable backend language such as Java
• Expertise with transactional databases like Postgres, RDS, or Aurora, including schema design and performance tuning
• Skills in designing APIs, service boundaries, data models, and integration patterns for distributed systems
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration, event-driven architectures, and operational complexities
• Commitment to quality through testing, CI/CD, telemetry, and production ownership
• Strong communication skills and a high-ownership approach to technical execution

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• The national total target cash compensation range is $158,000 to $190,000 annually, including base salary and bonus target
• Final offers depend on factors such as experience, expertise, and region
• This range excludes additional benefits like equity, 401(k), medical, dental, or vision insurance
