Job summary

Burtch Works client, a leading provider of cloud-based software for financial institutions, seeks an AI Software Engineer for its US Remote R&D team. The mid-level engineer will design, develop, test, and maintain backend systems in C#/.NET and APIs, apply AI development tools, and collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps in a modern cloud environment.

You will contribute to containerized deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable services that enhance lending workflows and digital banking

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend experience with C#/.NET and APIs.
• Familiar with frontend technologies and modern tooling.

Job Summary

We are looking for an AI Software Engineer to join their Research & Development organization in a US Remote capacity. The ideal candidate is a mid-level software engineer with 3+ years of professional experience who is strong in backend development using C#/.NET and APIs and has experience with AI development tools and methodologies. This role will design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions supporting their products and platform capabilities while collaborating with senior engineers, product managers, QA, and DevOps teams in a modern cloud-based engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Feature Delivery: Own the implementation and delivery of product features and services that support their customer-facing products and platform capabilities.
• Technical Design: Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional partners on technical design and architecture discussions, translating requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Software Development: Develop backend and frontend functionality using modern engineering practices, with a strong emphasis on C#/.NET, APIs, and reliable application development.
• Engineering Operations: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, containerization, and operational reliability across cloud-based environments.
• AI-Enabled Engineering: Apply AI development tools and methodologies where appropriate while continuing to grow technical expertise through mentorship and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

Education: No specific degree requirement is stated; equivalent professional software engineering experience will be considered based on the published qualifications.

Experience: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Skills: Strong proficiency in backend engineering using C#/.NET and APIs; familiarity with modern frontend technologies; experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Azure and/or AWS; experience with AI development tools and methodologies; strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Other: Must be able to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional product and engineering environment. Our client conducts a comprehensive background check, credit check, and drug test as part of its offer process.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates who bring experience building scalable, reliable, and maintainable software in modern cloud environments will be especially relevant.
