Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Identity, Data Security and Trust organization. You will design and implement AI security capabilities, build foundational identity and access management systems, and develop secure infrastructure across a natively multi-cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, Python, Golang or Rust with solid SQL skills.
• Experience shipping and on-call production services with reliability focus.
• Collaborative, low-ego approach across PM, design and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI security capabilities and admin guardrails.
• Build and evolve identity and access management systems (SSO, MFA, OAuth/OIDC, SAML, SCIM, RBAC).
• Develop core security infrastructure: secret and key management, service identity, encryption.
• Create tooling to monitor, enforce, and detect policy violations across the platform.
• Collaborate with teams to reduce friction while maintaining safety.
• Lead secure network architectures to defend against attacks and data exfiltration.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and on-call rotations.
