Job summary

Snowflake in Bellevue, WA seeks an experienced IAM senior engineer to design and build secure, scalable identity and access management capabilities, supporting millions of objects and users.

You will lead large projects, collaborate with principal engineers, and ensure high-quality code and architectural decisions while advancing authentication, authorization, and data sharing across Snowflake's cloud services.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with identity and access management concepts and protocols.
• Experience with database systems and query engines is a plus.
• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Java, C#, or C++.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI security capabilities for controlled, audited agent workflows, inbound and outbound.
• Design and implement features that provide IAM capabilities with next generation identity providers and authentication protocols.
• Build authorization frameworks to provide fine-grained access control for millions of objects and users.
• Design and develop solutions for secure data sharing and access via external applications.
• Lead and deliver large projects with strong planning and execution.
• Ensure high quality code, architecture decisions, and quick delivery.
• Mentor and guide the team through code reviews and design discussions.
