Job summary

Snowflake is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, build, and operate a scalable platform for cost-aware cloud utilization and observability. You will create AI-enabled agents and tooling to enhance monitoring, alerting, and root-cause analysis across Snowflake's cloud infrastructure.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Finance, Product, and Engineering to translate usage and cost insights into operational improvements and cost optimization across large private and public cloud

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing and supporting large-scale production systems.
• Experience with cost optimization on large clouds.
• Strong system/architectural analysis to derive actionable insights.
• Proven track record delivering large cross-functional projects.
• Proficient in Go, Python or Java.
• BS/MS in CS, Engineering or related field.
• Experience building AI agents and working with LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform for resource ownership registry, usage attribution, utilization measurement, and cost modeling.
• Build AI agents, tools and automation to enhance system monitoring, alerting, and root cause analysis.
• Improve data ingestion, storage, and query efficiency for cloud utilization and cost data at scale.
• Collaborate with Snowflake teams to understand attribution and observability needs and implement solutions.
• Contribute to open-source and industry best practices in monitoring and distributed systems.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance by participating in on-call rotations and incident management.
